Its old quarter dates back to the ninth century and was documented as a possession of the bishops of Girona under the name Olianus — meaning land of olive trees. The house has just been sensitively restored, recovering the beauty that once made it singular: the emblematic Catalan vault painted in blue wash that greets you at the entrance, the murals uncovered beneath layers of paint, the original tufa stone floors and exposed stone walls — all living alongside contemporary art and furnishings that marry tradition with modern comfort.
